After confirmed measles case, Public Health fights to stop the spread

Published 2 months, 1 week ago
Description
Public Health Madison & Dane County reported at the start of this month a confirmed case of measles in our county. In the weeks since, they’ve shared a list of locations where people may have been exposed to the virus. And just this weekend, they added a Madison area hotel to the list – after confirming that an out of state traveler also tested positive for measles. So how does Public Health track and publicize potential exposures? And what can area residents do to stay healthy and stop the spread? To answer these questions and more, our News Producer Faye Parks sat down with Morgan Finke, Public Health’s communications coordinator. Image courtesy: Chali Pittman / WORT News.
