Ticketmaster is tightening its rules around multiple accounts as part of an effort to crack down on ticket scalping and prevent buyers from getting around ticket limits. The company has announced plans to restrict individuals and professional ticket brokers from operating multiple accounts to purchase or resell tickets. The move follows increased scrutiny over how professional resellers obtain large numbers of tickets, sometimes leaving everyday fans struggling to buy seats at face value. Ticketmaster says excess accounts can be cancelled as it strengthens its enforcement against users attempting to bypass purchasing limits.
