Church Out of the Box: Love 2.0 by Pastor Leo Bray on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026
Published 2 months, 1 week ago
Description
In this installment of the "Church Out of the Box" series, Pastor Leo Bray explores the multi-faceted nature of love. While the world hijacks the word "love" to describe chemical sparks and fleeting emotions, the Kingdom of God operates on a higher protocol. By understanding the different types of love—from self-care to enduring commitment—we can better align ourselves with the heart of the Father and move beyond "mere religion" into a living experience of the Gospel.
-- The Gospel is more than just a message of salvation for sinners; it is the Gospel of the Kingdom and the reality of a living, resurrected Savior.
-- Many Christians live "dead" lives because they have not allowed the power that raised Christ from the dead to radically transform their daily experience.
-- Love is not a singular concept; it includes Philautia (self-love), Philia (friendship), Storge (family), Ludus (playful love), Pragma (enduring love), and Eros (romantic love).
-- "Mania" is a "glitch" kind of love—an obsessive, stalking behavior that can even be misdirected toward ministry leaders.
-- The "Agape" of God is the highest form of love; it is sacrificial, unconditional, and enables us to love "annoying" people and those who betray us.
-- A lack of desire for holiness or the Word is often a sign that the love of God in a believer's heart is growing cold.
-- True discipleship is not measured by outward appearance or church attendance, but by the sacrificial way we love one another.
