Federal Opposition leader Angus Taylor says the coalition's new immigration policy won't be about race or religion, but about values - adding that an immigration policy is needed that raises the standards and reduces the numbers.
Meanwhile Mr Taylor says he has "not seen" a leaked Coalition policy proposal suggesting a ban on migrants from declared terrorist areas.
As reported by some media outlets, the proposal puts forward banning migrants from regions in 13 countries with terror activity, including Gaza and Somalia.
