Six people lost their lives on school grounds, the majority while in the library:

• Shannda Aviugana-Durand (39) : The only adult victim at the school. She was an education assistant who was known for her patience and dedication to helping students with special needs.
• Abel Mwansa Jr. (12) : A 7th grade student who recently moved from Zambia to Canada in 2023. He is known as a very intelligent person, proficient in science, and has high ambitions.
• Kylie Smith (12) : A talented young artist. Her family describes Kylie as a gentle and creative child who loves art.
• Zoey Benoit (12) : Known by her friends as a tough, smart kid who can always lighten the mood with her sense of humor.
• Ticaria "Tiki" Lampert (12) : Nicknamed "tiki torch" because of her cheerful and energetic personality. She is very close to her siblings.
• Ezekiel Schofield (13) : A young athlete who is active on the local U13 Raptors hockey team . He is known as a supportive and enthusiastic teammate.
