David. R. Goodworth explores saying 3.10/Th47 from his book 'The Gospel of Thomas: Evolution'.

Jesus said, “A man cannot ride two horses or draw two bows, nor can a servant serve two masters, or he will honour one and disrespect the other. A man does not drink old wine and immediately desires to drink new wine, and they do not put new wine into old wineskins, or they will burst, nor do they put old wine into new wineskins, or it will spoil. They do not sew an old patch on a new garment because it will split.”
