Story Transcript:

Cy: Ar ddiwrnod oer o Chwefror, cerddodd Dafydd ar hyd y llwybrau eiraog yn Ardd Fotaneg Cymru.
En: On a cold day in February, Dafydd walked along the snowy paths in the Ardd Fotaneg Cymru (the National Botanic Garden of Wales).

Cy: Roedd y blodau i gyd wedi cloi'u blagur, yn barod i wylio'r gaeaf pasio.
En: The flowers had all closed their buds, ready to watch winter pass by.

Cy: Roedd ei galon yr un peth, wedi cau i ffwrdd o unrhyw syniad o gariad newydd.
En: His heart was the same, closed off from any notion of new love.

Cy: Roedd y seremoni o Ddydd Santes Dwynwen a Diwrnod Sant Ffolant yn ei atgoffa'n boenus o'r bartneriaeth ddiweddar a dorrodd.
En: The ceremonies of St. Dwynwen’s Day and Valentine’s Day painfully reminded him of the recent relationship that ended.

Cy: I Dafydd, roedd y glaswelltiroedd gwynion yn cynnig cysur, pellter o bob caru'r byd.
En: To Dafydd, the white meadows offered comfort, a distance from all the world's affections.

Cy: Yn agos i ardd y gwyddor, Carys, artist ifanc gyda ffordd o weld y byd trwy ei sgiliau, yno hefyd.
En: Near the science garden, Carys, a young artist with a way of seeing the world through her skills, was there as well.

Cy: Roedd ysfa binnau i ddal golwg winterol y lle, i gofnodi'r tawelwch gwyn oedd ar fin cael ei ddinistrio gan lwmp o hunan-amheuon.
En: She felt the urge to capture the wintry view of the place, to document the white silence that was on the brink of being destroyed by a lump of self-doubt.

Cy: Yno yn y byrddau, roedd hi wedi gadael ei deimladau llidiog am ei honyriad ar canvases yn y gorffennol tra'n chwilio am ysbrydoliaeth newydd.
En: There on the benches, she had left her simmering feelings about her past failures on canvases while searching for new inspiration.

Cy: Roedd Dafydd wedi penderfynu ymweld â'i hoff lecyn tawel, wrth dderbyn sylwedd newydd ei gynnwys, y llecyn hynny oedd ar gweli'r byd.
En: Dafydd had decided to visit his favorite quiet spot, accepting a new reality of its surroundings, a place that was a sight for the world.

Cy: Ond daeth Carys gyda lyfr nodiadau i eistedd, ychydig fetrau oddi tano.
En: But Carys came with a notebook to sit a few meters away from him.

Cy: Roedd yn teimlo'r drawiad i ryddhau ei phiniau dros y papur i ddal delweddau'r dirwedd gaeafol oedd o'i chwmpas.
En: She felt an urge to let her pens flow over the paper to capture images of the wintry landscape around her.

Cy: Byddai'r ddau wedi parhau i ddianc i'w hunigedd pe na bai'r cymylau wedi torri'n sydyn, gan ryddhau cawod drom o law.
En: The two would have continued escaping into their solitude if the clouds hadn’t suddenly broken, releasing a heavy shower of rain.

Cy: Y glaw ofer, yn brydlon a sicr na allent eu dwysh ar wahân!
En: The pouring rain, timely and sure, ensured they couldn't remain apart!

Cy: Aethant i'r tŷ gwydr i geisio cysgod rhag y glaw.
En: They went to the greenhouse to find shelter from the rain.

Cy: Wrth i'r glaw guro yn erbyn y gwydr, dechreuodd Carys a Dafydd siarad.
En: As the rain pounded against the glass, Carys and Dafydd began to talk.

Cy: Roedd y glaswellt a'r blodau wedi'u gorchuddio'n barod, fel petai'n barchu'r disgwyliad am wnaw.
En: The grass and flowers were already covered, as if respecting the anticipation of what was to come.

Cy: Dwedodd Carys wrtho am ei hofnau, am beidio llosgi, am y cerbydau o garfyn e
