Ralan, Philos, and Rebecca face their seventh day crossing the deceptive plains of Dragon Road, where the golden grass hides nothing but insects and fleeing prey. Their supplies dwindle faster than anticipated, and the comfortable ignorance of city-dwellers meets the harsh reality of an ungenerous wilderness.
