When you only see one possible path forward, you limit your chance of success. Rather than complaining about the situation, or worrying about possible failure, give yourself more options.

Take inventory and ask yourself what options do you currently have? Then consider, what new options could you develop? Are there other ways to get to your goal?  Ask your friends, your family or a trusted mentor to help you find more ways.

Options give you independence, they give you the power of choice. Options provide you with multiple ways to respond to difficulty or the feeling of not knowing. When you have more options, you have more confidence, and more control over the outcome. 

Discovering and developing new options takes work, but this effort increases the leverage you have over your circumstances and choices.
