Casey Viera and NBA champion Devin Brown break down a dominant 136-108 Spurs' victory in Los Angeles over the undermanned Lakers, spearheaded by Victor Wembanyama's 40-point showing.

The two-time All-Star made short work of the Western Conference rivals, scoring 25 points in the first eight minutes of the game before finishing with 37 at halftime as his team boasted an 84-55 advantage. 

He, along with Stephon Castle, become the first Spurs teammates with consecutive 40-point games since George Gervin and Mike Mitchell in the 1983-84 season. 

Castle left late in the second quarter due to a pelvic contusion after landing hard on his back following a blocked shot attempt. 

Los Angeles stars LeBron James and Luka Doncic were two of five Lakers out due to injury, playing on the second of a back-to-back following a loss Monday to the Oklahoma City Thunder. 

San Antonio plays their final game before the All-Star break Wednesday at Golden State against the Warriors who will be without Stephen Curry due to a knee issue.
