On February 4, Henderson police responded to a fatal crash at Russell Road and Stephanie Street involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck. The motorcyclist died at a hospital. The pickup driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Under investigation.
Earlier on September 28, near Major Avenue and Boulder Highway by Valley View Recreation Center, officers arrested a man for allegedly tampering with trash receptacles while collecting cans. The man alleged excessive force during the arrest, resulting in injuries including bruising and a fractured cheekbone. Charges were dismissed. Lawsuit filed January 23.
No additional criminal incidents reported in Henderson for the previous week. Las Vegas Metro Police conducted a Super Bowl DUI blitz resulting in 43 arrests across the region, but none specified in Henderson.
