Our guest is James Moore, the defensive coordinator and strength coach for the Luverne HS Tigers in Luverne, AL. Coach Moore has coached in Alabama, Mississippi, and Georgia for over 20 years.
He has served as a head coach, offensive coordinator, and defensive coordinator.
Coach Moore has recently published a book, Push Past Tired, that documents his time as the HC at East Lawrence HS in Alabama. When he arrived at the school in rural North Alabama, they had not had a winning season in over 20 years. It is a remarkable story of how the players at East Lawrence bought in and learned to push past tired. We discuss the book in this episode of the podcast.
