Horseshoe Crab Fossil Discovered Near The Cliffs Of Moher

Published 3 weeks, 6 days ago
Description
A remarkable discovery has been made right on our doorstep — a fossil of a horseshoe crab dating back more than 300 million years has been found near the Cliffs of Moher. The fossil is the first of its kind recorded in Ireland in over a century. For more on this to explain why this tiny fossil is such a big find, Alan Morrissey was joined by Eamonn Doyle, geologist with the Burren and Cliffs of Moher UNESCO Global Geopark.
