Act of Reparation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, a solemn Catholic prayer offered to make reparation for sins, indifference, and offenses committed against the infinite love of Christ’s Sacred Heart.

This prayer expresses sorrow for personal and communal sins, unites the faithful to the sacrifice of Christ on the Cross and the altar, and renews the commitment to live a life of faith, charity, purity, and fidelity to the Gospel. It is especially associated with devotion to the Sacred Heart and the call to console Christ through acts of love and atonement.

Indulgence: A partial indulgence is granted to the faithful who devoutly recite this prayer. A plenary indulgence is granted when it is publicly recited on the Feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, under the usual conditions.
