It's being suggested that drones made in Clare could be used to police illegal fishing along Ireland's coastline. The proposal has been made by Independent Senator Gerard Craughwell in Seanad Éireann. A-techSYN Limited, which is headquartered in the Shannon Free Zone, specialises in drone technology. Addressing Tulla Fianna Fáil Minister of State Timmy Dooley, Senator Craughwell says the approach could offer much greater protection if implemented.
