Story Transcript:

Ga: I lár an Gheimhridh, ar thóir eachtraíochta i nGarraithe Luibheolaíocha Bhaile Átha Cliath, bhí trí chara: Maeve, Declan, agus Cillian.
En: In the middle of winter, in search of adventure in the Garraithe Luibheolaíocha Bhaile Átha Cliath, were three friends: Maeve, Declan, and Cillian.

Ga: Bhí lá fuar ann ach d'fhág an sneachta éadrom an áit cosúil le radharc as scéal draíochta.
En: It was a cold day, but the light snow made the place look like a scene from a magical story.

Ga: Chaith croídearaí beaga dearga ar ghéaga na gcrann saothar ársa na hÉireann i gcomócarnacht leis An Lá Fhéile Vailintín.
En: Little red hearts hung on the branches of the trees, representing the ancient Irish celebration in conjunction with An Lá Fhéile Vailintín.

Ga: Is duine fiosrach í Maeve. Ba mhaith léi rudaí nua a aimsiú i gcónaí.
En: Maeve is a curious person. She always wants to find new things.

Ga: Bhí Declan an-chúramach i gcónaí, rud a chuir eagla air faoi dhul i mbun baol.
En: Declan was always very cautious, which made him afraid to engage in danger.

Ga: Agus ansin bhí Cillian ann, a bhí i gcónaí ag smaoineamh ar rudaí eile, bogtha ag a samhlaíocht.
En: And then there was Cillian, who was always thinking about other things, moved by his imagination.

Ga: Agus iad ag siúl tríd na garraithe go ciúin, iarradh ar na trí chara imeachtaí a bhféile féin a shaothrú.
En: As they walked quietly through the gardens, the three friends were inspired to create their own festival.

Ga: "Cinnte, caithfimid rud éigint suimiúil a aimsiú," a dúirt Maeve go fuinniúil.
En: "Surely, we must find something interesting," said Maeve energetically.

Ga: "Is fearr dúinn fanacht gan ár n-aon airdealach a dhéanamh," d'fhreagair Declan, a bhí ag comhairle a thabhairt i gcónaí.
En: "It's best for us to stay without drawing any attention to ourselves," responded Declan, who was always giving advice.

Ga: Nuair a chuaigh an t-imithe thart go tobann, bhuail Cillian ar teachín beag.
En: When dusk suddenly fell, Cillian stumbled upon a small cottage.

Ga: Cheap siad go raibh slí amach ann.
En: They thought it was an exit.

Ga: "Feicimid an bhfuil muid ceart!" a dúirt Maeve, agus chuaigh siad isteach sa teachín.
En: "Let's see if we're right!" said Maeve, and they went into the cottage.

Ga: Ach tar éis tamaill, ní raibh aon rud ann seachas uirlisí feistiúcha na ngáirdíní.
En: But after a while, there was nothing inside except for garden fitting tools.

Ga: Bhí doras dúnta agus ní raibh na heochracha leo.
En: The door closed, and they didn't have the keys with them.

Ga: Bhí siad gafa!
En: They were trapped!

Ga: Bhí a fhios ag Declan go raibh comhairle na ndaoine á lorg mar rogha is fearr.
En: Declan knew that seeking advice from others was the best option.

Ga: "Déanaimís iarracht an fhoireann a lorg, b'fhéidir go bhfuil duine ann fós," a mhol sé.
En: "Let's try to find the staff, maybe there's still someone around," he suggested.

Ga: Ach bhí Maeve níos fonnmhaire ar an eolas a fháil faoin teachín seo agus na rúna de b'fhéidir.
En: But Maeve was keener on finding out more about this cottage and its possible secrets.

Ga: Bhí Cillian, idir an dá linn, cróite le léamh na bplátaí faisnéise a bhí ann i dtreo na bplandaí.
En: Meanwhile, Cillian was engrossed in reading the information plates pointing to the plants.
