Description
Oh boy.
Is that the final straw? Will apathy finally set in?
As of Thursday morning, the Winnipeg Jets sit 11 points out of a playoff spot in the Western Conference after a dismal effort against the Montreal Canadiens, losing 5-1 at home.
Are we past bargaining and into depression now? Acceptance likely won’t come until the math catches up with what has already felt essentially impossible -- when "nearly impossible" officially becomes actually impossible.
That’s the crux of what Cam and Jim discuss on today’s program as they begin to look ahead to the 2026-27 season. With their core players signed long-term, this year has to be the anomaly. It has to be the exception. But what happens if next season starts the same way -- say, a 2-8-0 record through the opening 10 games? Is it a risk not to move on from Scott Arniel and find a new voice behind the bench?
With a trade-deadline sell-off looming, who on the Jets’ roster should stay -- and who should go?
All that and more on today’s edition of Jets @ Noon.
