El: Καθώς το δυνατό αέρας ανακατεύει τα σύννεφα πάνω από τους ελαιώνες της Κρήτης, η Ελένη περπατάει βιαστικά ανάμεσα στις στρογγυλές πέτρες και τους αρχαίους κορμούς.
En: As the strong wind stirs the clouds above the olive groves of Crete, Eleni walks briskly among the round stones and ancient trunks.
El: Ο ουρανός σκοτείνιαζε, προμηνύοντας καταιγίδα.
En: The sky was darkening, foreboding a storm.
El: Κι όμως, μέσα της, η φλόγα της ανακάλυψης πυρακτώνονταν πιο πολύ από την απειλή του καιρού.
En: Yet, within her, the flame of discovery burned more intensely than the weather's threat.
El: Η Ελένη, με πείσμα στο βλέμμα της, δεν σκέφτεται ούτε στιγμή να αφήσει το σκοπό της.

En: With her clothes clinging from the rain, Eleni finds shelter in an old olive press, her mind on escaping before the worst of the storm came.
El: Οι πέτρες έτριζαν, οι θόρυβοι των δυνάμεων της φύσης έπαιζαν μαζί της, αλλά η αποφασιστικότητα της δεν κάμπεται.
En: The stones creaked, the noises of nature's forces played with her, but her determination did not waver.
El: Και τότε, ανάμεσα στις ρίζες ενός δέντρου κοντά στην είσοδο, τα χέρια της αγγίζουν κάτι μεταλλικό και ψυχρό.
En: And then, among the roots of a tree near the entrance, her hands touch something metallic and cold.

En: But before she can rejoice, the noise of the storm grows louder, and the stones of the olive press begin to collapse.
