En: The snow-covered landscape around Český Krumlov was quiet and beautiful.
Cs: Stromy byly holé a jejich větve se ostře rýsovaly proti bílému povrchu.
En: The trees were bare, and their branches stood out sharply against the white surface.
Cs: Jakub seděl na kraji cesty a soustředěně se díval na svůj oteklý kotník.
En: Jakub sat by the roadside, intently looking at his swollen ankle.
Cs: Byl mladý a dobrodružný muž, ale unesl víc, než mohl zvládnout.
En: He was a young and adventurous man, but he had taken on more than he could handle.
Cs: Před týdnem se vydal na pěší túru.
