En: The sun sets slowly over Kaapstad's modern outskirts, where concrete blocks and old Cape-Dutch houses rub shoulders.
Af: Anika se voete sink liggies in die warm grond van haar familie se landgoed, omring deur die geskiedenis van haar voorouers.
En: Anika's feet sink lightly into the warm ground of her family estate, surrounded by the history of her ancestors.
Af: In die verte, soos altyd, hou Tafelberg wag oor die stad.
En: In the distance, as always, Tafelberg stands guard over the city.
Af: "Nee, Anika," sê Pieter, sy stem vasberade.
En: "No, Anika," says Pieter, his voice resolute.
