Back to EpisodesFrom Bangkok with Laughs: POLICE ACADEMY 2, WICKER PARK, and Assigned Viewing Gone Right!
Description
What happens when two longtime friends assign each other movies they’ve never (or barely) seen?
Filmmaker Chris Cowden returns to the podcast from Bangkok for a nostalgic laugh-fest revisiting POLICE ACADEMY 2 (1985) followed by a surprisingly rich discussion of obsession, romance, and coincidence in WICKER PARK (2004). Along the way, we unpack how time, memory, and mood shape our relationship with movies — and close things out with a timely look at Ryan Coogler's SINNERS, fresh off its historic 16 Oscar nominations.
