Description
Ramin Jahanbegloo is an internationally known Iranian-Canadian philosopher known for his intellectual work and his efforts to foster constructive dialogue and for his advocacy for social and political change based on principles of non-violence. Professor Jahanbegloo lectures widely and he’s also a prolific writer of books and articles in French, English and Farsi. We invited him to talk with us because January 30th was the anniversary of Gandhi’s assassination in 1948 and Jahanbegloo is a renowned scholar on Gandhi’s life and ideas. Professor Jahanbegloo was also imprisoned by Iran earlier in his career and he talked about that experience as well as the current situation in Iran when Gil Halsted and Amitabh Pal interviewed him via zoom.
