The 7 Laws of Academy Success- Law 4- The Law of Navigation

Season 2 Episode 22 Published 6 months, 4 weeks ago
Description

In this episode, I talk about how anticipation will beat reaction every time when it comes to air traffic control in general and to the Academy specifically.

Being able to anticipate what is going to happen at the Academy is hugely important and will make scenarios so much easier than if you stay in reaction mode all the way through.

Anticipation= Being, and staying, ahead

Reaction. = Being, and staying, behind

The only way you can get to the point where you are able to anticipate and know what is coming in a scenario is to PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE! And not just practice, but, INTENSE FOCUSED PRACTICE!!

Thank you all for listening!!

Pre-Academy

If you are heading to the Academy in the next few months, I put together a structured 90-day preparation blueprint that walks you through exactly what to focus on each month before you go. It's designed to help reduce shock and build confidence before day one. You can download it at: sidebysideatc.com/page/blueprint .

I also have a video where I explain the different things that are on the enroute Non-Radar Map. You can get that video at: sidebysideatc.com/page/map-video .

Already at the Academy

If you are already in the enroute radar portion of the Academy and feeling a little behind or lost, I have a 72-Hour Radar Recovery Plan that will help you get past those feelings and start building confidence. You can download that at : sidebysideatc.com/page/72-hourplan .
