Published 3 weeks, 4 days ago
Description

A new bronze statue of Ada Lovelace, the worlds first computer programmer, was unveiled in Hinckley, England. The eight-foot-two-inch sculpture, a replica of one in London, stands outside a local college campus, just five miles from her childhood home. Lovelace, who worked with Charles Babbage on his analytical engine, is now honored with this statue, which aims to inspire students, especially girls and young women, to pursue STEM fields. The project was funded by the Ada Lovelace in Hinckley Community Interest Company and was officially revealed by Mike Kapur, the Lord Lieutenant of Leicestershire. Checkout Solipillow.com
