Britains Most Crime-Ridden Railway Stations Revealed: London Euston Tops List with Over 1,500 Offences

Police have released figures showing Britains most crime-ridden railway stations, with London Euston topping the list. The station saw over 1,500 offences in the past year, including 227 violent crimes, 247 drug offences, 29 sexual assaults, and 650 thefts from passengers. Other busy London hubs like Kings Cross, London Bridge, and St Pancras also ranked high, with the top thirty stations seeing nearly 18,000 incidents overall.

Beyond London, stations in Leeds, Manchester Piccadilly, Birmingham New Street, Liverpool Lime Street, and others reported hundreds of crimes each. For example, London Bridge had the most weapons offences at 33 and robberies at 37, while Reading saw 65 bike thefts and Brighton topped graffiti at 24.

Rail workers and passengers are feeling the impact hard, with RMT union leader Eddie Dempsey calling the stats shocking and saying staff face punches, threats, and abuse just for doing their jobs. He wants more funded police on trains and stations year-round, plus laws against assaults on transport workers.

Network Rail says crime risk is low despite millions passing through daily, thanks to staff, patrols, and CCTV. British Transport Police agrees every journey should be safe, using reports via their six one zero one six text service to target patrols and keep officers on site around the clock.

In a recent case at Manchester Piccadilly, 25-year-old Fawzi Hamza tried to rob a 15-year-old girls handbag. Bystanders and officers stopped him fast, and he got ten months in prison. The investigating officer praised the publics help and the brave teen. Checkout Solipillow.com
