When Phoenix decided to leave the refuge, tensions with another resident, Gareeca Gordon, spiraled into violence. Phoenix was murdered inside her room, her body dismembered, and her remains transported across county lines in a desperate attempt to cover up the crime. Police only uncovered the truth after stopping Gordon’s vehicle near the Forest of Dean, where the suitcases containing Phoenix’s remains were discovered.

This is the tragic case of Phoenix Netts: a young woman whose life was stolen by obsession, and whose story continues to echo far beyond the refuge where it began.
