Episode 1998 Published 4 weeks, 1 day ago
Description

Stevie Ray Vaughan was a legendary American musician who spearheaded the blues revival of the 1980s. Emerging from the Austin music scene with his band Double Trouble, he gained international fame following a standout performance at the Montreux Jazz Festival and collaborations with David Bowie. Despite a public battle with drug and alcohol addiction, Vaughan achieved sobriety and released several critically acclaimed albums that blended Texas blues, rock, and jazz. His career was tragically cut short in 1990 by a helicopter crash in Wisconsin at the age of 35. Today, he is remembered as one of the most influential guitarists in history and was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
