The New Jersey Flood Institute (NJFI) is the research arm of the New Jersey Coastal Coalition. Dr. Bill Thomas, Director of the NJFI, will discuss how its making the Jersey Shore more flood resilient. Plus, we'll even discuss his time in Papua New Guinea. Meteorologists Joe Martucci and Dan Skeldon will interview Dr. Thomas, and talk about this cold winter and worsening drought.
Tidal Flooding Talk is America's only regular show dedicated to coastal flooding resiliency. Run by the New Jersey Coastal Coalition (NJCC), it is a group of New Jersey floodplain communities that meet monthly in a workshop setting, to discuss common municipal flooding issues. Formed in response to the 2012 Super Storm Sandy, we have met regularly since January 2013. Meetings are usually held on the first Thursday of each month at various participant facilities.
