On Sports Fix with D'Arcy Waldegrave for Tuesday 27th January 2026, yesterday, the criteria for the next All Blacks coach was released by New Zealand Rugby. This stated that they will only consider candidates that have held international head coaching roles and that they had to be a New Zealander. Hamish McLennan is a former chair of Rugby Australia who was with the union when Dave Rennie - a New Zealander - was head coach of the Wallabies. He joined D'Arcy to share his thoughts whether the All Blacks need to have a coach from New Zealand.

D'Arcy shares his thoughts on New Zealanders showing their class on the international stage in snow sports ahead of the 2026 Winter Olympics. 

And D'Arcy and NZ Herald head of sport Winston Aldworth discuss whether its necessary for the All Blacks head coach to be a national and the extreme heat throughout todays play at the Australian Open.
