Tonight I sat down with Alexander Dunlop, a Harvard-trained philosopher, former Wall Street consultant, and author of Play Your Cards Right, to explore the Source Cards—the idea that a standard deck of playing cards forms a symbolic “book of life” reflecting our patterns, purpose, and evolution. Alexander shared how the 52-card deck mirrors the solar year, why he believes the cards preserve an ancient, sacred system of intelligent design, and how he uses the cards for practical coaching that helps people align their choices with who they are.

We unpacked my own cards (King of Hearts with a Four of Clubs personality), discussed relationship dynamics revealed by the system, and talked through real-world transformations that happen when people “play their cards right.” Alexander also offered simple steps to get started, resources to go deeper, and how this work can complement other modalities like numerology or astrology while remaining its own foundational framework.
