Tyler and Liam are back from an unforgettable weekend in the mountains, recapping their time at the Jasper Pond Hockey Tournament before diving into one of the wildest games of the season. On Saturday night, the Oilers pulled off a dramatic 6–5 overtime win over the Washington Capitals, capping off the weekend in perfect fashion.

It was a true Evan Bouchard legacy game, as the Oilers’ defenceman put together a career performance with three goals and three assists. The night was fittingly finished off by Connor McDavid, who buried a breakaway winner in overtime to send Oil Country into a frenzy and the boys home happy.

Between the pipes, Connor Ingram got the start but was pulled after allowing three goals on 12 shots. Tristan Jarry would come on in relief and settle things down, ultimately earning the win in a game that featured plenty of chaos and momentum swings. Tyler and Liam break down the goaltending decisions, the defensive breakdowns, and what this win could mean moving forward.

After recapping the weekend in Jasper, the boys turn their attention to tonight’s matchup against the Anaheim Ducks. Edmonton will be facing a red-hot Ducks team riding a seven-game winning streak, making this a key test as the Oilers look to build some consistency.
