How do we make sure God’s Word is the authority in our church?

1. Bible-based preaching. Scripture commands ministers to accurately handle God’s Word, not just give emotional messages to make people feel good. We need to teach what the Bible says, even if it clashes with the culture.
2. Teach the whole Bible. Don’t just stick to the New Testament! Dive into the Old Testament and show how the Bible’s history explains what we see in the world and points toward our Savior, Jesus.
3. Address current social issues like abortion or LGBTQ with an open Bible, showing others how to apply God’s Word to the issues of our day.
