SPECIAL | Episode 3:Disability and the Holocaust: Euthanasia

Published 4 months, 1 week ago
Description
People with physical and mental disabilities were seen as "useless" to society, a threat to Aryan genetic purity, and ultimately undeserving of life. At the beginning of World War II, people who were  physically disabled, or mentally ill were targeted for murder under what the Nazis called the "T-4" or "euthanasia" program.

The third major group of Holocaust victims was a pediatrician who was held in high esteem, but irrefutable evidence showed that he was not a  hero.In the episode I talk about him.
