Brewers Trade Myers, Sproat to Mets

Published 1 month ago
Description

The Milwaukee Brewers traded pitcher Tobias Myers to the New York Mets as part of a blockbuster deal, along with ace Freddy Peralta. Myers, a 27-year-old right-hander, had a strong rookie year in 2024 but struggled with injuries last season. The Brewers received top prospects Jett Williams and Brandon Sproat in return. Sproat, a 25-year-old righty, debuted for the Mets in 2025 and has high-octane stuff, including a sinker and great movement on his fastballs. He is set to compete for a rotation spot right away.
