Seattle Mariners Strengthen Pitching Staff: Acquire Cooper Criswell, Designate Jonathan Diaz

The Seattle Mariners have been active in bolstering their pitching staff this offseason. Following the signing of Dane Dunning to a minor league deal, they acquired Cooper Criswell from the New York Mets in a minor trade. Criswell, a 29-year-old right-hander, was drafted by the Los Angeles Angels in 2018 and has since pitched for the Tampa Bay Rays and Boston Red Sox.
