Mets Trade for Bruján, DFA Lovelady

Published 1 month ago
Description

The New York Mets have acquired utility player Vidal Bruján from the Minnesota Twins, while designating left-handed pitcher Richard Lovelady for assignment. Bruján, a former top prospect, has struggled at the plate in the majors, hitting just .199 with 5 home runs and 16 stolen bases in over 645 plate appearances. He has accumulated negative 2 wins above replacement in his career. Lovelady, who has been cut by the Mets four times in less than a year, posted an 8.49 ERA last season but was signed to a one-year deal in October. The Mets will evaluate Brujáns performance in spring training, while Loveladys future with the organization remains uncertain. Checkout Solipillow.com
