En: When Matevž entered the small café in Ljubljana, it smelled of freshly brewed coffee.

En: It was a cold winter day, and people wrapped in skillfully intertwined coats and scarves sat by small tables, ready for the new day.

Sl: Matevž je le iskal miren kotiček, kjer bi vzel svojo kavo in preletel nekaj strani novega rokopisa.
En: Matevž was just looking for a quiet corner to take his coffee and skim through a few pages of the new manuscript.

En: His day couldn't start without a perfect cup of coffee.

En: There was a long line at the counter.

En: To pass the time while waiting, he looked around.

En: Nearby stood Tadeja, who was lively chatting with someone on the phone and laughing cheerfully.

Sl: Njen glas je bil skoraj melodičen.
En: Her voice was almost melodic.

En: On the other side of the café was Gorazd, with his head nearly buried in his laptop, fingers wildly typing on the keyboard.

En: He seemed completely focused on work.

Sl: Ko Matevževo ime pokličejo, je hitro stopil do pulta, toda isto naredijo tudi Tadeja in Gorazd.
En: When Matevž's name was called, he quickly stepped to the counter, but so did Tadeja and Gorazd.

Sl: Vsi trije se srečajo ob vzajemnem pogledu nejevere.
En: All three met with mutual looks of disbelief.

Sl: "Mislil sem, da je to moja kava," reče Matevž.
En: "I thought this was my coffee," Matevž said.

Sl: "Tudi jaz!
En: "Me too!

Sl: Točno tako sem naročil," vzklikne Tadeja, še vedno v dobri volji.
En: That's exactly what I ordered," exclaimed Tadeja, still in good spirits.

En: Gorazd looked up from his screen, confused: "Sorry, I think this is my order."

En: For a moment, he thought about protesting, but decided to take a different approach.

En: "Why don't we figure out together whose coffee is whose?

Sl: Mogoče smo slučajno vsi naročili isto.
En: Maybe we all happened to order the same thing."

Sl: "Tadeja se strinja: "Dobra ideja!
En: Tadeja agreed: "Good idea!

Sl: Pogovorimo se.
En: Let's talk it over."
