LIVE: Therapist Shavaun Scott on Michael McKee's Alleged Psychology | Tepe Murder Case
Description
We're going inside the mind of the alleged obsessive ex.
Michael McKee is charged with murdering his ex-wife Monique Tepe and her husband Spencer — allegedly eight years after a marriage that lasted just months. Family says Monique escaped emotional abuse and death threats quickly. McKee apparently never remarried. Prosecutors say he drove six hours, killed them both at 3:52 AM, and drove back.
Tonight, psychotherapist Shavaun Scott joins us LIVE to break down the perpetrator psychology in this case. Shavaun has spent thirty-plus years working with both victims and perpetrators of violence. She's the author of "The Minds of Mass Killers" and has worked in forensic settings, domestic violence shelters, and crisis teams.
We're digging into the "wound collector" profile — people who nurture grievances for years instead of moving on. We're asking how a successful vascular surgeon allegedly compartmentalizes this kind of fixation. We're examining what triggers alleged action after years of apparent inaction. And we want YOUR questions in the chat.
This is Part 1 of our three-part interview series on the Tepe murders. Part 2 covers the victim experience. Part 3 covers the aftermath and what it means when doing everything right still isn't enough.
