A sausage dog named Sanji ran two kilometres down Queensland's M1 motorway on the Gold Coast, holding up traffic on the busy road that carries over 100,000 cars daily. The dog had been missing from home for two days before the incident, and was eventually rescued when he jumped into a motorist's car. Sanji's owners discovered he was alive after a friend in the UK sent them viral footage of the motorway chase, and the dog has since been reunited with his family.
