Cs: Chladný vítr vál nad Karlovým mostem v Praze.
En: The cold wind blew over Karlův most in Praha.

Cs: Bílé vločky sněhu pomalu padaly z oblohy a pokrývaly sochy stojící na mostě, včetně té nejznámější s Janem Nepomuckým.
En: White snowflakes slowly fell from the sky, covering the statues standing on the bridge, including the most famous one with Jan Nepomucký.

Cs: V takovou roční dobu byla Praha nádherná, ale také mrazivá.
En: Praha was beautiful at this time of year, but also freezing.

Cs: Karel stál vedle svého malého stánku.

Cs: Měl na sobě tlustý kabát, rukavice a čepici, přesto cítil, jak mu zima prostupuje tělem.

En: "But I have a plan.

Cs: Nabídnu turistům slevu.
En: I'll offer the tourists a discount.

Cs: Třeba pak koupí.
En: Maybe then they'll buy."

Cs: ""To je dobrý nápad," přikývla Lucie.
En: "That's a good idea," nodded Lucie.

Cs: "Jak můžeš ještě víc zviditelnit svoji práci?
En: "How else can you make your work more visible?"

Cs: ""Možná bych se mohl domluvit s místními kavárnami," odpověděl Karel po chvíli zamyšlení.
En: "Maybe I could arrange with local cafes," Karel replied after a moment of thought.

Cs: "Mohli by vystavit moje šperky.
En: "They could display my jewelry.

Cs: Lidé si je pak mohou prohlédnout v teple a u kávy.
En: People can then view them in the warmth while having coffee."

Cs: "V ten moment se k nim blížila velká skupina turistů.
En: At that moment, a large group of tourists was approaching them.

Cs: Karel cítil, jak se mu srdce rozbušilo.
