In this episode of the Desi EM project, Susan Colonna, a retired nurse from Montana, shares her remarkable journey through health challenges and her transition to a carnivore diet. Susan discusses her early interest in biology, influenced by her mother's career in medical laboratories, and her lifelong passion for fitness. After facing a series of health issues, including a diagnosis of Hashimoto's thyroiditis and later type 1 diabetes, Susan turned to functional medicine for healing. She was also injected with Ozempic and had severe adverse reactions. She has come out stronger than ever afetr facing numerous near death situations! Now she is managing her Type 1 using the carnivore lifestyle and has significantly brought down her insulin requirements.
