Sl: Borut je s kapo globoko potisnjeno na glavo stopil skozi velika vrata Ljubljanske mestne knjižnice.
En: Borut stood with his cap pulled low over his head as he walked through the large doors of the Ljubljana City Library.
Sl: Sneg je zasipal ulice mesta.
En: Snow covered the city streets.
Sl: Zunaj je bil mrzel zimski dan.
En: It was a cold winter day outside.
Sl: Knjižnica je bila toplo zavetje.
En: The library was a warm refuge.
Sl: V notranjosti so bile police visoke do stropa, lesene mize pa so vabile s svojo toplino.
En: Inside, the shelves reached up to the ceiling, and the wooden tables invited with their warmth.
Sl: Svetloba je skozi velika okna padala nežno in mehko na vse obiskovalce.
En: Light streamed gently and softly through the large windows onto all the visitors.
Sl: Borut je oboževal knjižnice.

Sl: "Oba sta držala knjigo o Prešernovih pesmih.
En: Both were holding a book about Prešeren's poems.
Sl: Tako pogovor stekel.
En: So, the conversation began.
Sl: Nika je bila učiteljica v srednji šoli.
En: Nika was a high school teacher.
Sl: Rada je hodila v knjižnico iskat nove zgodbe za svoje učence.
En: She loved coming to the library to find new stories for her students.
