Sk: V mrazivej zime sa dedina roztriasla veselými hlasmi.
En: In the frosty winter, the village trembled with cheerful voices.
Sk: Zvonky sa ozývali po celom námestí, kde sa konal zimný jarmok.
En: Bells resonated throughout the square, where the winter market was taking place.
Sk: Všetci veselo kráčali medzi stánkami, kde predávali horúci mušt a pečené gaštany.
En: Everyone happily walked among the stalls, where they sold hot cider and roasted chestnuts.
Sk: Dedina bola pokrytá snehovou perinou a do toho čerstvo napadol nový sneh.
En: The village was covered with a blanket of snow, and fresh snow had just fallen.
Sk: Medzi týmito stánkami stál šikovný kováč Ladislav.
En: Among these stalls stood a skilled blacksmith named Ladislav.
Sk: Jeho oči spočinuli na Miroslave, talentovanej tkáčke, ktorá bola známa svojimi krásnymi výtvormi.
En: His eyes settled on Miroslava, a talented weaver known for her beautiful creations.
Sk: Chcel ju ohromiť najväčším snehuliakom, akého dedina kedy videla.
En: He wanted to impress her with the biggest snowman the village had ever seen.
Sk: Spolu s nimi bola Zuzana, veselá pekárka, ktorá vždy vedela rozosmiať a rada pri práci jedla koláče.
En: Along with them was Zuzana, a cheerful baker who always knew how to make everyone laugh and loved eating cakes while working.
Sk: „Musíme postaviť obrovského snehuliaka,“ zahlásil Ladislav sebavedome.
En: “We must build a gigantic snowman,” declared Ladislav confidently.
Sk: „Bude mať veľký nos, aby ho bolo vidieť už z diaľky.“
En: “It will have a big nose, so it can be seen from afar.”
Sk: Miroslava prikývla.
En: Miroslava nodded.
Sk: „A pridáme mu nádherné šátky a čiapku, ktoré mu upletiem,“ dodala s nadšením.
En: “And we’ll add beautiful scarves and a hat, which I'll knit for him,” she added with enthusiasm.
Sk: Zuzana sa zatiaľ tešila z koláčikov, ktoré pripravila.
En: Zuzana, in the meantime, was delighted with the cookies she had prepared.
Sk: „A keď budeme unavení, budeme mať čo hrýzť,“ povedala, veselo sa usmievajúc.
En: "And when we’re tired, we’ll have something to snack on," she said, smiling cheerfully.
Sk: Lenže ich plán čoskoro narazil na prekážku.
En: However, their plan soon hit an obstacle.
Sk: Ondrej, dedinský koziak, bol neustále zvedavý.
En: Ondrej, the village goat, was constantly curious.
Sk: Keď sa pozastavili, aby skonštruovali snehuliakovi nos, Ondrej sa spustil a šikovne im ukradol mrkvu priamo z rúk.
En: When they paused to construct the snowman's nose, Ondrej darted in and deftly stole the carrot right out of their hands.
Sk: „Ondrej!“ zvolal Ladislav, keď svižne naháňal nezbedného koziaka.
En: “Ondrej!” exclaimed Ladislav, as he swiftly chased the mischievous goat.
Sk: „Bež, rýchlo preč, kým nám všetko nerozoberie!„“
En: "Run, quick, before he takes everything apart!"
Sk: Ale koziak sa smial svojimi veselými očami a s mrkvou utekal pomedzi stánky.
En: But the goat laughed with his cheerful eyes and ran with the carrot between the stalls.
Sk: Ladislav si uvedomil, že bez odčerpania jeho energie len ťažko dokončia prácu.
En: Ladislav realized that without expending his energy, they would struggle to finish the work.
Sk: Preto rozmýšľal, ako ho odlákajú.
En: So, he thought of a way to distract him.
