Juliana Peres Magalhães admitted on the stand that she pulled the trigger on Joseph Ryan. She testified that she watched Brendan Banfield stab his wife Christine to death. And she's the only living witness to what happened in that bedroom.

But the defense showed the jury jail letters where Magalhães promised to never cooperate, said she would "take the blame" for Banfield, and declared she would "give my life for his." She only flipped after she was hospitalized, after Banfield's family stopped paying her lawyer, and after she started negotiating with Netflix.
