Their journey places them amid the politics of the Seven Kingdoms during the reign of King Aegon V Targaryen’s era, brushing up against noble houses, tourneys, and the lingering legacy of Targaryen rule. As Ser Duncan attempts to honor his mentor and make a name for himself, a new opportunity presents itself in the form of a tourney... Blending classic Game of Thrones lore with a lighter, more personal perspective, the premiere sets the stage for a series rooted in chivalry, consequence, and the everyday lives shaped by Westeros’ power struggles. It’s a refreshing return to the world of George R.R. Martin—less about thrones, more about the people who live in their shadow.
