Meanwhile, what does it say about the underlying strength of the imperialist system generally and US imperialism in particular that it should resort to such a brazen and openly illegitimate method of trying to reassert its global dominance? For all his bravado and bullyboy tactics, President Trump is presiding not over the rejuvenation of US economic and military might, but over its further degeneration and disintegration.
