Description
Welcome to our latest episode of Women in Crypto, the podcast presented by the Association for Women in Cryptocurrency and sponsored by Bracewell LLP! In this compelling episode, we dive into “Decrypting Crypto Investigations: Why Crypto Is a Bad Place for Criminals.”
We’re joined by Erin Fracolli and Emma Henshaw, two leading experts at the forefront of global crypto investigations.
Erin Fracolli is the Global Head of Special Investigations at Binance, overseeing Special Investigations and Sanctions CTF teams worldwide. Her teams focus on proactive research and close collaboration with law enforcement across a wide range of financial crime and security threats. Erin has worked at Binance since 2019 in various investigative roles and holds an MA in International Peace and Conflict Resolution from American University’s School of International Service.
Emma Henshaw is a Team Lead with Interim Labs’ Global Investigations team, based in the UK and supporting investigations worldwide. Her team works with both public and private sector clients across multiple threat categories. Prior to joining Interim Labs, Emma spent 12 years in UK law enforcement, specializing in intelligence and cybercrime cases.
In this episode, we explore how blockchain transparency, advanced investigative techniques, and cross-sector collaboration are reshaping financial crime enforcement—and why crypto is increasingly one of the worst places for criminals to operate.
