The City of Prescott Public Works Department will conduct a phosphorus binding treatment at Goldwater Lake on January 15, 2026, as part of the City’s ongoing Healthy Lakes Program.The treatment will use the same environmentally safe product recently applied at Watson Lake. Its purpose is to bind excess phosphorus and sediment in the water, a key contributor to algae growth and invasive aquatic weeds. By reducing these nutrients, the treatment is expected to improve water clarity and overall lake health during the warmer summer months.
