Hospitals and clinics that provide gender-affirming care to minors are at risk of losing critical Medicaid and Medicare dollars, under a new federal policy the Trump regime proposed last month. And a pair of Republican bills in the state Legislature are taking aim at trans and nonbinary Wisconsinites.
State Senator Melissa Ratcliff, a Democrat from Cottage Grove, is a member of the Legislature’s Transgender Parent and Nonbinary Advocacy Caucus. She joined our News Producer Faye Parks to share her take on this conservative push ahead of the busy election season.
