in 1968, Erich Von Daniken exploded into the mainstream with his bestseller "Chariots of the Gods?". It became a movie 2 years later and Von Daniken wrote over 30 more books. More importantly, he brought to the fore the ancient alien theory that all the Gods, angels and demons, and architecture, glyphs and other wonders were all aliens, or alien inspired.
